Threadnote 5.1.0

Threadnote 5.1.0 helps agents continue work with relevant handoffs, decisions, and code context across sessions and agent surfaces.

What's new

Threadnote 5.1.0 helps agents continue work with relevant handoffs, decisions, and code context across sessions and agent surfaces.

Continue with useful context

  • Default Context Briefs keep relevant handoffs and decisions alongside related code-graph context across CLI, MCP, and Manager. When resuming a handoff, its cited files and symbols can guide graph retrieval.
  • Agent-facing memory and graph responses are more concise, with compact memory references and bounded output. Use the read tools when you need the full memory contents or more detail.
  • The Codex continuation hook can preload a task-aware handoff and source leads once per session and evidence generation, avoiding repeated injection of unchanged context.

Keep local context healthy

  • Bounded background maintenance now progresses during normal local CLI, MCP, and Manager use. It tracks checked and deferred work and groups findings into focused cases instead of treating every skipped check as a separate issue.
  • Proven private structural repairs can be journaled and undone. Changes that need judgment, including edits to claims or shared knowledge, remain review decisions.
  • Citation recovery can use surviving checkouts, retained source evidence, and local Git history. Recovered historical evidence is kept distinct from verification against today's code.
  • The installed threadnote-health skill and scoped maintenance tools help agents investigate ambiguous cases. Manager shows decision cards, evidence coverage, and recent repairs.

Review and reuse shared knowledge safely

  • Manager can create a personal copy from a reviewed shared-memory proposal, leaving the shared source unchanged. Replacements of shared records require an explicit review choice.
  • Sharing now detects changes to an established memory identity instead of silently accepting them during sync or conflict resolution.

More dependable repository context

  • Code-graph refresh now reconciles filesystem changes that arrive while a refresh is running, and health checks avoid creating graph databases just to inspect status.
  • Graph materialization uses more accurate temporary-storage estimates, reducing incorrect low-space rejections.
  • Manager keeps library and context views more responsive when runtime services are starting or when repository scope changes.
  • Maintenance preserves installed agent skill bundles rather than attempting to parse them as memories. MCP launcher home selection and reviewed replacement approvals are also corrected.
